Eucharistic Ministers of Care - In addition to the visits of Deacon Nick and Father Bagley, this ministry brings the Eucharist to the sick, the homebound, and the hospitalized on a regular basis.

Bereavement Support - This ministry provides support for those parishioners who have experienced the death of a loved one.    Its purpose is to help prepare for and assist at funerals, as well as supporting individuals through the grieving process by means of mailings, prayer, and group gatherings.  The Bereavement Committee attempts to give hope to those in need of God’s healing.

Bereavement Hospitality - When needed, this ministry prepares receptions for after funerals for families and guests at St. Mary’s.  Baking, set up and clean up are part of this ministry.

Pro-Life - As a group, learn about the many issues that compile the pro-life ministry.  There are a variety of levels at which to participate such as quiet prayer, informational communications with the parish, legislative action and educational opportunities.

Market Sunday - St. Mary’s has a food collection on the 1st Sunday of each month.  Our Parish provides for families in need of assistance and also provides Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets and gifts.  This ministry involves sorting of food and delivering this food to those in need.  (Confidentially at all times is assured).

Spiritual Action Committee - This committee provides friendly visits to Brigham Hill Nursing Home and rides to doctor appointments for those in need of transportation.  Also, this committee mails bulletins and  birthday cards to shut-ins.

Soup Kitchen - Organize and/or volunteer to participate at the various shelters in  our community,  Example:  The Mustard Seed. Also provide good will dinners as needed for families who are in need of emotional support during illness/crisis.

Giving Tree - This takes place during Advent.

  • Coordinator - To be responsible to set up the Christmas tree on the altar, make gift tags, and label them with information furnished by various outreach organizations, and put tags on tree for parishioners to take during the holiday.
  • Sorters - Sort packages returned to church by parishioners and be sure they are distributed to the correct outreach organizations and recipients.
  • Drivers - Assist in delivering the packages to their destinations.
  • Blood Drive - Volunteers coordinate, organize and staff this wonderful example of sharing our time and talent.  The fruits of this effort may very well save lives and those who  benefit may be from our own community. This is a once a year commitment.
