Rolande Parent

Rolande grew up in Bellingham, MA where she attended parochial elementary school and public high school. Her BS in Business Administration and MBA degrees from Bryant College preceded her career in the Accounting profession. Over the years, she has worked in a variety of accounting and financial capacities for several companies, including a cable assembly business that she co-owned. She is currently employed as an Accounting Manager by L & S Food Sales in Ashland.

Rolande moved from Grafton to Hopkinton 20 years ago, where she lives with her 18 year old daughter, Amberly. Her spiritual journey was awakened at St. Mary’s Parish many years ago and continues to grow as a result of her involvement with various ministries and interaction with the dedicated staff and parishioners. She currently serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and scheduler of Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors. She served as a catechist while her daughter was in the Religious Ed. Program, participated in the Soup Kitchen Ministry, and helped with the Christmas Fair. Her daughter, Amberly, has been an Altar Server for the past 7 years, a classroom Aide, and interacted with guests during Interfaith Hospitality Week.

Reading, needlepoint, cooking, and traveling are some of Rolande’s favorite past times. She and her daughter enjoy close relationships with their extended family and often host family parties and get-togethers.
